Gacknar 08-16-2006, 11:13 AM How do they ride, how well did they balance, are they radials? dub 08-16-2006, 08:52 PM How do they ride, how well did they balance, are they radials? the ride really smooth. 3 of them balanced perfect, 1 is within a 1/4 ounce. there's no "out of balance" wobble while driving. they are radials. typical hum from the large tread pattern, i almost wish they were a little louder. 351cleveland 08-17-2006, 10:12 AM the ride really smooth. 3 of them balanced perfect, 1 is within a 1/4 ounce. there's no "out of balance" wobble while driving. they are radials. typical hum from the large tread pattern, i almost wish they were a little louder. do you know how long these will last, thinking of changing mine out...? blackbronco92 08-17-2006, 03:07 PM There is no MUD TERRAIN tire that will last very long on pavement use. Both of my trucks have mudders. The bronco with the 35"BFG Mud-Terrains, and the Pickup with the 33" Super Swampers. Both are loud on the road, but I think the Super Swampers are much more asphalt friendly. (not in wear patterns, but in general smoothness) In my experience, I like the cooper tires, or even the Goodyear's versions of mudders. Aaron i thouroughly enjoyed by BFG M/Ts excellent wear, quieter then my SXs, and still did good on and off road. Now since my rig is not a DD i will not give up my swampers. dub 08-17-2006, 05:32 PM do you know how long these will last, thinking of changing mine out...? i don't know how long they will last, but living in the land of rich folks i see these tires every day on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. they seem to last quite a while. being radial, i would expect somewhere in the neighborhood of 25k before they lose off road ability. johnski 08-17-2006, 06:08 PM being radial, i would expect somewhere in the neighborhood of 25k before they lose off road ability. At $300 a tire, that's about $21 a mile for the set.:shocked And, I doubt you're getting that many miles out of those. Guess you got money to leave on the pavement. JB 08-17-2006, 06:27 PM im glad you said it too, i was wondering if i messed up. now i see why the school systems are messed up :goodfinge Gacknar 08-17-2006, 06:39 PM There is no MUD TERRAIN tire that will last very long on pavement use.I get about 40,000 miles a set from 35" BFG MT's on the Bronco and 60,000 miles out of 32" BFG MT's on Mr Ranger. That seams like a preatty long time to me, especialy for a mud tire. Dustball 08-17-2006, 11:43 PM wait, arent you a teacher? more like every 21 miles cost him a buck Geez, both of you are wrong. 25000/300= 83 miles per $1.00 JB 08-17-2006, 11:51 PM Geez, both of you are wrong. 25000/300= 83 miles per $1.00 geez, your wrong too 300 x 4 tires MudHead 08-18-2006, 04:55 AM ok im not gonna figure the mil per $ but my bfg's mt's been on for a year and a half 12,000 and no noticable tread wear and an AWESOME ride. Dustball 08-18-2006, 11:02 AM geez, your wrong too 300 x 4 tires Both of us are right. It's $300 per tire. Each tire gets 25,000 of life out of it. 25000/300 = 83 miles per dollar. So the guy driving with more tires is paying more per mile. I'll just stick with my one-wheeled truck. I won't get too far with it but I'm getting more miles per dollar for it :toothless dub 08-18-2006, 03:04 PM holy shit can we keep this a "product review" thread please? who cares how much it cost to go a mile? if i was worried about that, i'd drive some tin can import. |
