This is my old engine before I went with the EFI Cobra 363:

Crank Broke
Rod pulled out of piston
#1 Main cap pulled the bolt out and craked the block
Timing chain exploded
Timing cover exploded
Oil pump locked with 30PSI at gauge with engine dead

I guess my theory is correct you cant wrap these engines up to 9,500 rpm :twak

Not to hyjack your thread, but I'll share my engine blow as well, though it's dull in comparison.

Luckily nothing blew up. The way it broke, the starter could still turn the full crank, so when we checked for compression, all the cylinders were showing it, but it was clanking and wouldn't start. Imagine that.

sweeeeeeeeeeetttttt....i have had my straight six up to about 3500 out of 6ooo redline...nice to have those 5 mains..and almost forgot stock timing gears :lolup
