I've about given up. :whiteflag

Finally got around to installing the headers on my bronco (91 5.0L)

Can't get either side to match up to the factory Y pipe. The outlet on the headers is at a different angle than the factory manifolds. I've disconnected my entire cat-back trying to finagle the Y pipe to match the headers enough so that they don't leak and nothing has worked.

Flowmaster (a division of Holley) has an online form to get tech support. They say to allow 48 hrs for a response, but that still hasn't come through. Tried the phone # listed on the install sheet and the number is disconnected. :doh0715:

Sounds like you got headers for a 5.8.
Recheck the part #

Checked and rechecked :-(

either take the Y pipe down or drive down with open headers to the exhaust shop and have them work the y pipe a bit. I had some cheap summit headers (Flowtech) and they did the same thing. i had the shop fix it for under $100

Get it bent or get a new y-pipe

Take a pic of the headers. I still bet they boxed the wrong ones.

:stupid or they're for a Mustang. where does the EGR go into the header?

The headers fit the engine perfectly. EGR is attached on the Y pipe.

Really, the problem is that the angle that the collectors come out at is 3-5 degrees different than the factory exhaust. Maybe the jig they use setting everything up was off, dirty, welding slag or something :shrug

For the time being, I'm going back to work on my lift, then I'll take it to someone to message the Y pipe, do my alignment, and get my 8 month overdue state inspection :toothless

Look at post # 30 in this thread.

302 verses 351 collector angles.
