Hi I'm new, and I have a bronco that I've restored, and is ready to play in the dirt.
I know there are trails all over Salt Lake City, but I have no idea where. I've never really been 4 wheeling but would like to start, especially with my pride in joy!!
Anyone know of some good beginner trails in the Salt Lake area?

5 Mile pass, west of Lehi is a nice place with some easy trails. Mineral Basin up in American Fork has some easy trails as well. And wheeling up by the "B" in Bountiful would work too.

5 mile pass is a great Place.
first go to google Earth and download there free map/topo software.

http://earth.google.com/

enter the following in the search window.

40 13'06.16, -112 09'57.41

the nice part about the software is since it's from satellite images, you can see and plan out where the offroad roads are before you go.

Once you have the software, I can give you lat longs to any of a bunch of great spots, and you won't need a handheld GPS to find them (though its always worth springing 90$ for a cheap Etrex)

And if you find a really good place send me the lat long.
thanks
