I recently changed the fluid in my 8.8 to Mobil 1 synthetic, and used the LubeLocker (http://www.lubelocker.com) gasket on the cover. Man was that easy! No screwing around with tubes and gunk. I pulled the cover off, cleaned off the old gunk, and slapped it back together with the gasket in between, then followed their instructions on torquing it down. Done. No leaks, no time wasted waiting for the goo to set up, no nothing.

I think I paid $14 for the gasket from some jeep place online, but considering I was putting in several quarts of $7/quart lube, I figured it was worth it.

I have one for the D44 up front, too, whenever I get to replacing that one.

Cool! I just had their brochure in my hand about ten minutes ago. Good to see a favorable review.
