hooked up to a co workers 98 single cab chevy 2wd 2500 with a 350 vortech with a man. 5 spd today, and my bronco cant hold a candle to it i was spinning them everywhere and he didnt once. granted i was in 2wd and he has a steel flat bed with a toolbox full of chains and tools in the back with 33s on the back and 31s up front. i would like to have a truck like his...

some of its driver. alot of it is all the weight he has in the back of his truck, and its a 3/4 ton, compared to your empty light rear bronco.

well....his rear is prob. higher than yours, so he was pullin you up making you loose traction. His was heavier. 5spd....prob a deep first gear.

But those vortec 350's are danged strong motors.

Thowell is right just give him some years and you will find the same truck in the boneyard, all the chebbys I see are newer, not too many old ones left (pre 70's). There are tons of "high boys" out here still on the road, most being farm trucks, but hey most Ford boys are farm, country, and good ol' boys (at least out here).

His werent spinning because they have computerized traction control built into the tranny.

What size motor do you have? 351W with an E40D and 31's. and i dunno about that traction control cause he smokes them everynow and then.
