ScorpionBoy 11-15-2006, 11:23 PM very cool.
what is the purpose of hookig into rock sliders?
redwagon 11-16-2006, 12:09 AM ha ha ha...I was just out looking at my bko and getting ideas on the same doing the same thing...did you tie them into the frame at all or just to the bumper?
Blackcomb 11-16-2006, 12:28 AM very clean looking, great job.

just so it can give the sides some more protection. the way i see it is u can always aim the front through a tight spot because the front tires can turn. but the rear, its just gets dragged through.

there is a tube that ties the sides back to the bumper mounting bracket to give it extra support
How you liking your MTZs?
nice bumper btw
They run great. took a little more weight then i thought to balance them but once balanced they run smooooooth and isnt as loud as other MTs out there.
jrdbronco 11-16-2006, 01:22 PM looks real nice. the only thing i noticed however, is the close proximity to the gas filler. that top tupe doesnt block the filler door or get it hung up?

Gas lid is just for looks and the lid clears the tube :thumbup

ScorpionBoy 11-16-2006, 04:50 PM guess i am dense, i just can't picture how you would tie onto sliders...

Hint: It would include wheel well protection, as in the red tubes going around the front wheel well in this picture:

plug ugly 11-16-2006, 06:27 PM nice chris. have any more pics somewhere of that rear bumper? Its similar to the one I have been thinking up. Im trying to decide between dual tubes or square to round like yours

i used to have some pics but i think they disappeared on my supermotors.
its basicly 3/8" plates as frame mounts that sticks out enought where i could weld the 3/16" rectangler tubing to the center. the side tubing is welded to the 3/8" plates. the square hitch tubing goes through the main rectangler tubing then i added guessets all around. i can give you better measurements when i get home.
one thing that i thought was difficult was trying to weld the side tubing on straight and even.
its pretty simple. i knocked out the whole bumper in a day.
plug ugly 11-17-2006, 11:49 AM yeah, thats pretty much what I have been planning down to a T. Did you use 2x4 or 4x6 or 2x6 square? Im just curious how it would look. I like that it closes it in as opposed to dual tubes, but OTH, i was curious how it would look from the rear to have the round but weld into the square.
BroncoChief 11-17-2006, 12:02 PM Looks Bad A$$:rockon

Its 2x6 square tubing. almost the size of my license plate and tall enough to cover any exposing frame
