Hey guys.
Once again the infomercials got me late last night. I havent seen it in a while but METRINCH was on. I only found a few items in FSB search so I am guessing it hasnt been touched on much here. $150 bucks gets you a socket and wrench set that covers both metric and standard typical wrenches. Most of the 62 piece set is just filler items but the tools look pretty solid.

I have been working out of my grandfather's old box and I have just about lost or broken all of the tools I use regularly. It would also be nice to have a complete set of easily accessable tools.

I know people are going to say Craftsman and such make a similar tool but I kinda like the Metrinch idea. I am really just trying to find a good Chrsitmas present to myself.

Anyway, anyone have opinions or stories?

Thanks

I have an opinion Soonerkid. And I just betcha it'll be pretty telling.

Tell your grandpa you are going to replace all his tools you have lost or broken and ask him which he would rather have - replacements of the tools one for one, or the METRINCH thing.

HTH.

Sears is having a tool sale this weekend. Choose carefully and that $150.00 should take you pretty far as to what you want.

Thier sockets are great, ratchets are good. Their "pro" line of combination wrenches are great, as good as my snap-on's.

For just about everything else like screwdrivers go to Harbor Freight.

Oh and hit garage sales, it's amazing what you can find for cheap. And don't forget http://www.craigslist.com
