Hey I was wondering if you all could answer a question for me. Some people here may know that I am getting out of the military in Feb '08, well I have been looking at houses recently. I really cant afford some place in Lynnwood or around there, no matter how much I love my home town, I just cant justify 300k for .2 acre with a decent house...

I found a really nice home in gold bar and another in sultan at a price I can afford, Only thing that has my attention is the commute. Back when I lived it wa the commute from those places to bothell(where my future job is) was horrible, I was wondering if they had made any changes to the highways or anything. I sure as hell dont want an hour commute each way.

thanks:thumbup

when was the last time you were around here? I don't think it's changed enough to shorten a commute. If anything, it's probably longer. An hour+ is now the average for Puget Sound area. Housing prices are freakin' nuts right now everywhere. It's forcing people further and further out of town.

Keep up the good work! :usa I'll bet you can't wait to take out the Vette for a cruise too...I've got a 78...

Yeah, my Brother and Sister-in-law just bought a house up in Granite Falls so
that they could keep the price under $275,000 (they're paying $240,000) on
a new construction house. Since you chose two towns on US2, you're gonna have a bitch of a time, even if you take SR522 from Monroe or SR9 off of US2.
Also, there's new construction in Everett that's slated to wrap up in Fall '08,
so that's also something to consider if Sultan and Gold Bar don't work out.
PM me if you have any further questions, as I live in Everett and work in Lynnwood.
