View Full Version : DONT BUY GIFT CARDS OFF THE RACK!!!! willjones4 11-29-2006, 02:03 PM http://www.snopes.com/fraud/sales/giftcard.asp -Spazmatic- 11-29-2006, 04:43 PM /\wwwwww/\ ("\(*___*)/") RAWRRRR!! stangmata 11-29-2006, 05:07 PM that's so wong Ogeechee 4x4 11-30-2006, 03:00 AM that's so wong :stupid :histerica -Spazmatic- 11-30-2006, 03:12 PM that's so wong wong...? That would suck to get ripped off that way and I could see it happening...:shrug stangmata 11-30-2006, 05:34 PM wong...? I'm lost. You woundeyes nevew get our joke Hopper 11-30-2006, 07:27 PM I thought it meant Hallmark cards.... :brownbag Steve83 11-30-2006, 08:52 PM I thought it meant Hallmark cards.... :brownbagNow, THAT would be a f****n' hilarious gift! :histerica "Well, I couldn't find a greeting card that I thought you'd like, so I bought you this beautiful Hallmark GIFT CARD worth $4, so you can go pick out your own Christmas card a few days AFTER Xmas. Since they'll all be on sale, you can probably get 2-3 of them!" :toothless :lolup godless 11-30-2006, 09:56 PM Its bullshit. I checked this out at the store yesterday. Every card I picked up from Albertsons to Zales had a silver scratch off lining on it, concealing the number. It also said on the tagnote that the card cant be activated IF the silver was scratched off. The instructions were very clear: Purchase card for amount listed on front After purchase, scratch off silver lining, and call customer service number to check balance. (Please note this is best done in the store with receipt in hand, so if a technical error happens they can fix it before you leave the store thus preventing any doubt of you spending the balance). After verifying the balance on the card the card is active. SO, the only way that a thief can use your card is if they get your card number or card itself. Thats about as common as you losing cash money out of your pocket. SO, yeah, their clame is f*cking BS. -Spazmatic- 12-02-2006, 03:33 PM You woundeyes nevew get our joke :rockon :histerica |
