I don't know how everyone can have lived here all their life and be so bad at driving in the snow. I actually had a guy bump me today, and then had the nerve to ask if I was in 4x4 insinuating that I was driving too slow. Thought about knocking the hippie over his stupid suburau.

I get asked to help them out, so I say sure 20 bucks, remember their the ones that need the help, a tow truck is gonna cost em 60.
I never feel bad asking for money for a service I am providing someone at a lesser cost than someone else is going to charge them.

Screw that, I'll pull anybody out but I'd never ask for anything I know a lot of people that would stop and pull me out if I was ever in the same situation.

Are the people that would pull you out friends, or are they complete strangers? it makes a huge difference.

When my friends get stuck they get pulled out for free, when I get stuck (usually trying something dumb at the local trails) I at least offer my friends who come to unstick me some cash or at the least dinner.

I don't believe in charging for doing nice deeds. I think if you are nice enough to somebody they'll pay you back, even a thanks is enough for me.

I just wouldn't have the heart to ask a 70 year old lady for some money.

Damn, seems like everyone is getting snow but us. It's nice and cold, but I still see brown and green grass everywhere. Maybe it's because my front diff needs a rebuild...I bet when that's done it'll dump on us. :doh0715:

Just remeber one thing if you damage someone's car you are liable. also if you get hit out on the road pulling somebody out 99% of the time it is your fault. Tow companies charge more for what they do because of the risk. Yes i do drive a tow truck, Yes i have been hit out on the road, I got to spend a little while in the hospital for that one.....we atleast have the emergecy lighting to somewhat help us.

One of the reasons I ask for a little cash for my effort. When I was younger I used to cruise the neighborhood on my snowmobile with one of my friends and we would push people out, I have been doing it for 22 years now, and have so far not had any problems(knock on wood). most of the people are just off the road, and not to badly stuck.
last night I was heading to Belvider to get work done on my Tat. I pulled a guy across an intersection, he was stuck in the middle on a small snowbank.

broncobuster, thats a good ammount of snow, hehe it looked like you guys just to the left of us got hit pretty good, sucks about your 4wd thou.
