Lookin' good Don. I like how yer takin' the time to get things
"squeaky-clean" before swappin' in the hard parts. May take a little
longer, but I think you'll be happier with the end result.
Nice.

psst...does this mean you will not be needing your half doors or the ones for the prerunner? ;)

jopes
03-28-2003, 02:57 PM
they are yours. the passenger side is pretty ****led up. you can use it for a templete or pound it back out.

Jon0807
03-28-2003, 04:58 PM
are they the ones you made a while back or the ones from the prerunner?

jopes
03-28-2003, 04:59 PM
the prerunner has full doors

Jon0807
03-28-2003, 05:05 PM
call it an even trade for the 9" diff?

are you gonna run doorless or use the half doors from the 78?

Jon0807
03-30-2003, 01:16 AM
which one where you huh?ing to?

for the first one, I was reffering to the 9" diff you where gonna replace but I thought we could just call it an even exchange for the doors.

for the second one, I was reffering to the prerunner. Are you gonna be running doorless or are you gonna use the half doors you made for your 78?

jopes
03-30-2003, 01:28 AM
I was huh'n you!

dunno if I will go doorless or just leave them in there.

my old half's are yours!

been soo busy, I forgot about that dam 3rd member I still owe you. it is all up to you. I can give you some green, replace it, or if you feel ok in having the half doors for trade than so be it.

Jon0807
03-30-2003, 02:21 AM
trade for the doors is fine. I think I may go full float too but I'm not sure if I'll do the 14 bolt like you or a D60. Seems like the stuff for the 14 bolt is really cheap compared to the 60

jopes
03-30-2003, 02:28 AM
do a little research on a rear D60 compared to a 9...that alone might change your mind on a 60.

please explain...

offroad_joe

BMC a 60 is not much stronger than a 9" unless you have custom shafts made. The best replacment for a 9" is a 14 bolt or a 10.25 they are much stronger than a 9" or a 60.
