View Full Version : Free beer and food.
bnkrtstk 11-07-2003, 01:19 PM Now that I have your attention, here's the deal:
I have an 86 F150 4x4 that needs an engine, I bought an 84 Bronco to be the donor vehicle. It has no d/s floor and a lot of frame rust (from MA) before I get flamed for taking a Bronco apart.
The problem is this, I cannot do it by myself (in a reasonable amount of time anyway) since my hands/wrists are smoked thanks to 4 carpal tunnel surgeries.
So if anyone would like to come to my house and lend a hand, I'll provide the beer, pizza, I'll even deep fry a turkey in return for your assistance. Afterwards we can chill in front of the big screen, watch some DVD's and drink some more beer.
I was thinking of the weekend of 11/22-23 or Thanksgiving weekend.
Any takers.
stangmata 11-07-2003, 01:38 PM Tricky bastard

I might be around that weekend. On monday il check to see if i have to work that saturday, and ill get back to ya.
80bronco 11-08-2003, 01:54 AM What have you got for the wife and kids to do and what type off tools you got on hand air on what
Leonard 11-08-2003, 03:41 AM i'm pretty sure i'm free that weekend i'll have to check to make sure but if i am i'll let you know. 4 carpol tunnel surgeries, ouch.
SUPERJUNK 11-08-2003, 09:35 AM Do you have a garage or is it outside??Is it just a motor swap? How far are you from Wayne N.J.?If is not to far I might come down and I could bring the doors and lenses you need if you still are interested.I am going to get pics of the doors today and send them to you.I can't do it on thanksgiving weekend.Well let me know.
bnkrtstk 11-08-2003, 11:12 AM 80Bronco the kids can play in the back yard, about an acre w/a swing set, I have two girls 5 and 8 lots of toys everyhting from Barbie to Monster trucks. Power wheels heep and quad.
Rep and Len thanks ,let me know.
Superjunk. I'm about two hours from Wayne. I am still interested but funds are tight, and I understand money talks and BS walks.I have air tools, the hoist, it would be outside my garage is not big enought to work in, maybe just the nose. It would be removing from the pick up and Bronco and reinstall in the pick up, I'm going to try to get the engine out of the Bronco before hand.
I can change the date but the later it gets, the colder it will be. If it doesn't get done before Christmas it will wait until the spring.
Thanks everyone :thumbup
bnkrtstk 11-10-2003, 01:56 PM I'm thinking of pulling the donor engine out the 16th, so Ican get the 84 out of the way. If anyone needs parts let me know.
reptillikus 11-11-2003, 06:18 PM I have work on the 22nd until 1, so i wouldnt be able to get there till after that. This weekend is out, as i have some things i need to do to the truck so i can go for inspection next week.
bnkrtstk 11-12-2003, 09:30 AM If you don't mind coming up after work, great. If you're tired from working, that's cool too. Even if I don't get the engine in the pick up right now, my main concern is getting the Bronco "stripped" so it can be hauled away. If someone wants wants left, speak up. Leonard has dibs on the front axles.
reptillikus 11-12-2003, 08:25 PM As it stands now, i dont see why i cant head out your way after work :D
bnkrtstk 11-12-2003, 10:02 PM Thanks Rep.
I'll PM you my address and PH#
You like Rolling Rock?
Leonard 11-12-2003, 10:23 PM as it stands right now there shouldn't be a prob with the 22-23 weekend so unless something big goes down the shitter i should be able to give you a hand.

Surprised? I may buy junk, but it's good junk!
bnkrtstk 12-01-2003, 04:41 PM I called the yard to day to come get what's left. I hope the old engine doesn't roll out of the back when they drag it up on the roll back. :toothless
Leonard 12-01-2003, 06:33 PM haha, as long as it makes it down the block right.
