Title says it all... I'm looking for a good, fair priced engine builder, who knows what the hell they're talking about. I only know of one place in Great Falls, and they didn't come with a good recommendation. I'm in no rush at this point, just trying to find a builder to start discussing things with, to get an idea of what I need to fork up for the build.:popc1:

If you dont mind dropping it off in Utah for quite a while, since there is no rush. One of the guys at the Ford dealership I worked at is awesome, he built mine and after helpin him I would recommend anyone to him. BTW his favorite motor is the 351W, he has built many on the side and is currently building three at his house. If you are interested PM me and I will talk to him. When I rebuilt my 351 I want to say that I spent around $2,000, but most of that cost was machine shop (crank, heads, motor, and rebuild kit). But since I helped and did most of it labor was free.

I appreciate the info... but I'd like to find a place within resonable driving distance. It's a bit more comforting knowing if I have any issues, I can drive and check in on my motor. Who knows... I may end up getting stationed in Utah before I'm actually ready to take it to be rebuilt. Plans are always up in the air with the military.

I am here in Billings and know of a couple good places. One place built a 347 stroker for my brothers '67 Mustang the other is Bob Bishop who is kinda the Ford God here in Billings. As far as price I don't know what they would charge. Let me know if I can help,Paul.

Have any luck? I was gonna highly recommend Automotive machine. The built me a Ford 400 5-6 years ago and it still runs strong to this day.
