And I just spend some of mine :beer on a great carb for my 79. Life will be SO much better when it's installed. I had to installed a manual choke to the carb that came with the truck. Both the choke and the choke linkages were missing, but what did I expect for a Clean Rust Free 79 w/ a 460 for only $450 :beer
Now the next thing is to get the rear gears, 3.00 changed to match the front 3.5? gears :banghead - maybe next month (anyone have a set of spare ford 9 3.5? gears?).
Thanks Mike!

hey man. i might be able to get you the carrier 31spline with the gears already to go. let me look around. $450.00 for the bronco was a great deal.
thanks for buying the carb.

Thanks Mike. The weather is turning nasty tomorrow, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to VERIFY the front gear ratio (i.e. pull the cover and check the ring gear). I discovered the problem after it snowed and I put it in 4x4 for the first time. Then I did the string test (roll in neutral w/ string on drive shaft for 1 tire rotation), and got a close estimate on the gears.
I'm looking to be ultra cheap on them. Next year it will probably get ARB's and 4:10s, so this is just something to play with this summer.
