I am a sick man. :wacko I am addicted to 1979 Broncos.
I bought my first 79 a couple of years ago for $300.00. 351M/C6/NP205. Didn't run but was rust free and had a top. :banghead Then, I saw another 79 for sale on line just 200 miles away another 351M/C6/NP205. So, I went and bought it and loaded it on the trailer and brought it home. It was so rusty I can't believe it didn't fall apart on the trip home.:banghead
With a little tinkering I got it to run (not move but run - no drive shafts).
I decided to strip it out and build a good machine (Broncostein - you know Frankenstein). I disassymbled Broncostein-body off frame and started to plan the best Bronco for on-road/off-road/rock-climber/mud machine you ever seen.:beer
Then, I see another 79 351M/4sp/NP205 for $1,000. Looked it over and had to have it. IT RAN AND WAS DRIVABLE (barly). No rear brakes, steered like a one engine tugboat but, I go it home. I started to work on this one and decided to replace the rear-end and build the best off-road/rock-climber you ever seen.:cry
Then, an aquaintance called me with 2 79's for sale. Both are 400/C6/NP205's with tops and both ran and drove!!:duh
So, $2200.00 later (total $4000.00 so far) I have 4.5 Broncos (3 run and drive somewhat and 1.5 in parts).
Is there a national Bronco Anomous?:rockon
