yeah, i've been here a year and asked plenty of times on here, and i couldn't fine any places that close to me, still bringing the bronco down though and hope to get together with some of you guys

Timber ridge or that place in rockport doesn't look too bad, Id be up for anything. I would just rather wait until it got a little warmer out, so we can camp.

Make It or Break It down South of Knoxville/North of Albia on Highway 5 is pretty good I hear. I have a friend who used to go down there alot with his builtup Jeep and a buddy with a Bronco, they always had fun. He said it has a decent spectrum of stuff to keep some of the more hardcore guys entertained, and "bunny hills" style stuff for the stock/nearly stock.

Honestly I've heard alot of people have a blast here. You can see some of the rides the local guys have on there and what they're doin at the place. Just an idea. This one is a bit more central. I guess one big factor is who wants to head out there, and where they are all at. If we have 6 South/Southwestern members who want to head out, and only two up in Northern Iowa, it wouldn't make much sense to plan it for way up there, would it? Course...needs to get a lot fawkin warmer before doing anything. :toothless I'm a wimp with the cold...

yeah, i checked them out, but i don't want to spend 50 bucks a year to wheel, may not sound a lot to some, but i just can't spend that extra money when i'm sure i can do it for free

I'm in lincoln.....not too far away. I don'e care where we have it, as long as I don't have to drive 10-11 hours again. I think I might make a limit to 4 hours this year.haha

I was just looken at all of the pictures on rockports site...it looks like a pretty cool place. I might make my way down there sometime this summer either way.

my buddies F-150 towed me there from the wheeling spot...it plugs in somewhere and idk he said it looks like something that plugs into the transmission housing so hopefully its an easy fix

btw my friend fixed my bronco...it was the electrical wiring shit that plugs into the top of the tranny....yea. its funny how easily you can disable a vehicle like that

i could email those guys in rockport and see if they could get us an event rolling in april or later and find out the rates and nice camp grounds and hotels and stuff around. personally im down for the camping.

yeah, i had a leak, fixed it once, then leaked gain little while after. i got one of the plastic ones from broncograveyard, little more money i think but worth it.

maybe we can set up a spring/summer m&g and then another one in the fall, so people have a chance to make it to atleast one. also, we could maybe set up some locations, we can even have it at multiple locations.

How many of us are there from the QC area? We could always take over credit island park.... Not 4x heaven but for a m/g it may work. Theres not alot of 4x parks. Scott Co. Park is an option too....

Damn, Ive been slipping. Havent checked in for a while and when I do, I find out there is some Iowa activity stirring.

I am a longtime member of the already mentioned club MIOBI. we wheel on a piece of ground that used to be a coal mining area just a short drive south of Knoxville. It's really an awesome place to wheel- hard to believe in Iowa!! Our dues for new members are $50 to join for the first year, then $35 to rejoin after that. If you are not down with joining the club, we do have a Memorial Day weekend event, and the Iowa four wheel drive association will be having a Labor day weekend event. Also there is a Toys for Tots weekend event in the late fall that only requires a new $20 value toy donation to get in for the weekend- perhaps your get together could occur during on of those weekends??

I believe theres some type of weird insurance connection about being a club member that covers the landowners butt, I will ask him about it to see if there is a way around it if you guys want it to be a Bronco only gathering.

(tranny cooliant line fitting snapped when taking out the radiator)
(axle seal blew so i need that and a new drum brake)
and i get my license back June 20th
which is good because if i break something then i should have my DD by then (Looking at a Gen 2 GST or GSX Mitsu Eclipse Spyder)

Having a meet and greet in July (first couple of weeks) greatly increases my odds of being there :)

i won't have my bronco up for that, but i would really like to have on in august, september, october, some time around then, then i can actually wheel with you guys.

me and my friend plan on goin downt here, hes takin his jeep and ill be takin my bronco (should have my 6" lift buy then from RC) June 23, 24th then probably runs during other times

but any time after June 20th is great for me. I just gotta have a couples weeks advance to take work off
