A couple of months ago I purchased a Post mounted spotlight from DVLRacer It was one that ended up being surplus but was designed to be on a 04 or so GM truck. Personally I think i got a rather fair deal and DVLRacer is a great seller, quick to ship and all around cool people. As for the spotlight it appears to be very well manufactured with no manufacturing mis alignments unlike others I have seen. Figures since they have been making the same light with minor improvements for the last 70 or so years. Their customer service is very knowledgeable in their products and was able to give me the correct information on which mounting kit I needed to get to get this one to work. The only thing that was lacking was a compression sleeve that I just salvaged and modifyed from the other kit that came with this light. Once it came to actually installing the thing the instructions were pardon the pun, spot-on. The template fit to my A-pillar exactly and the whole drilling part was pretty easy. That is except for the drilling of the 1/2" hole at an angle. That was a bit hard to start because at that angle it was binding up. But regardless the install was quite foolproof and wiring was pretty easy as well. The only thing I could think of is improving the groundpoint.
The light itself even for a 50 watter is quite bright and does go quite a distance. The control is quite easy and is adjustable so you can make it as hard or light as you want. The switch is also quite well made and appears it will offer many years of good service.
Oh and here are some pics for you guys.
