We ran out of bath towels awhile back so my wife went into my 16 year old daughters room and counted out 23 towels from her floor. I think both of my daughters use at least three per shower (What, reuse them, never)

I had the same habit. I use mine for a while. Haha...I'm a guy, gimme a break...how's a week sound? As long as they don't smell bad. Anyways, pretty soon my uncle would be bitching cause there weren't any towels. Well, I'd shoot fast as hell downstairs to the washer and throw them in, and get them dried and a couple hours later.."What do you mean no towels...you forgot them in the dryer..."

Worked for a long time till he caught me dragging them down once. He just laughed and called me a shithead. :toothless

Not many things I like more then a clean fresh towel every day. I don't even like using them twice

I use the same towel everyday for a week. Same with the sheets, I change the sheets every saturday. Of course I just use the towel to dry off and then hang it back up to dry.

DO you shower before you go to bed or after you get up?

I shower in the morning so the sheet starts getting dirty after about a week of usage.

Plus when you have a women in bed on a regular basis, the sheets really need to be changed more often then every 9 months.

the thing that pisses me off is when my wife steals my towel because we are out then when I shower I'm screwed. I have to go dig one out of the wash somewhere.

P.S. I have had a woman in bed on a regular basis for 26 years and she has to change the sheets every week or so.

My kids are towel hoarders. I am to the point where I alot them each 3 per week. I also time the showers and shut off the water after 15 minutes (I have a main shutoff inside). F'ers will sit in there for an hour if I let em. If they don't hang up the towel, it stinks. So they get a choice- hang it up, use it stinky, or drip dry.

I've been in motels where they shave the sheets hourly, does that count ?;)

Actually I'm a towel saver, not waster !

I cannot understand people who hurl 15 towels, wet from wiping themselves, onto a carpeted floor and complain they stink the next day (or week:uke: ).

What did you expect ! For f@$&'s sake hang em' up and let em' dry ! I'll drive over and install some towel rails for ya.

Rule of thumb for me is into the washer with the towels once a week, whether they need em' or not.

my wife uses three. One for her, one for her hair, one for the floor (refuses to use a rug). She uses three each time, too because she can't remember which one was on the floor. :wacko Then if she forgets the one for the floor she'll grab mine off the rack and throw it on the floor to step on. Of course I dont know this has happened, so when I get out of the shower I have no towel.

Wow.. ya know. I will wear the same shirt more than once, or the same pair of pants... but I have never used the same towel more than once.

Not that I wouldn't... I've just never thought so many people did that! I guess I've just never really had to. I always do all my laundry on Sundays. I also usually shower before I go to sleep.

Luckily my wife only uses one and usually for a couple of days. She has a big terry cloth robe to wrap herself in. But my two girls use at least two each.

I left my parent's house when I was growing up never realizing anyone used towels more than once.

Then I got married, man that was a shock. Damn thing would be stank and mildewed and he would still be trying to use it. At least lay it out to dry for heaven's sake.

Hell if Kyle was walking around the house naked after a shower, I'd let him, sit back and watch, then to freak him out I'd grab the camera.

I use 2 towels each time one for my hair and one for the rest of me, but I re-use them a couple times. We have to re-use them cause we don't have that many and it's expensive to wash them all the time.

Or you can do like I done and mount the rails over top of the heater vent in the floor, under the bathroom window.

Just like you said, they dry quick and you keep em' warm for tomorrow's shower.

I can understand a gal with long hair using a second towel, BUT ! I will not condone a sacrificial third towel for the floor ! Buy a comfier, thicker, warmer ma(like Will suggests) so you don't need that third towel !

Any towel that touches a bathroom floor is going to the washer PDQ, IMO. The one that dried a clean, pink Sixlitre can be hung up to dry and used for the prescribed week, IMO.

If for any reason they ain't fresh as an Irish Spring, before that week is up, they go DIRECTLY to the washer.

Carpet is awesome in the bathroom. Its never cold and it soaks up all the water so you never have to walk on a wet floor

Radiant heating in the floor

turns the ceramic tile into a warm floor experience. Carpet is okay if you can aim, otherwise it can get pretty rank pretty fast:uke:
