View Full Version : possible dana 44 out of 78/9 bronco sas materiell
James Williams 11-21-2003, 09:10 PM Just checking interest level, If I had a junkyard condition D44 out of a 78/79 Bronco. And if it were complete from the radius arm brackets to the top of the coil springs, drag link, calipers, hubs, rotors (rusty) how much could I get for it? Say I could deliver it within 100 mi of Raleigh...$500? This is the axle I want, but the only way I can afford to do my swap is buy it and flip it for a profit, and hope for another nice one to come around. I think its a 3.55 open, but thats pure speculation. the truck has a door sticker but nothing is listed under AXLE.
Crazed 11-21-2003, 09:14 PM I paid $200 for mine in the same condition.
James Williams 11-21-2003, 09:28 PM re:
Thats great, and thats roughly what i'm getting this one for, however someone who doesn't want the trouble of getting one form a junkyard might want this one.....p.s. this is the to your door price. I would take it my self in a heart beat. I have looked all over Raleigh metro and this is the best axlerice, I found. The only way I can do my swap is to find another person who needs an axle so I can recoup some cost. I am not trying to be a rip off. I am just seeing if my economics will work out.
BadassBronco 11-21-2003, 10:24 PM i pay $32-50 for all the axles i pull, and have a hard time getting $225 for each one no matter what it is unless its a D60 front.
your not gonna get $500, you would be lucky to get $300
i have ad44HD for sale thats a front high pinion that i will take $200 for, another $150 for shipping and it could go anywhere in the US fo runder your price.....
James Williams 11-21-2003, 11:10 PM o.k. In the meanwhile, you above people sell your crap in another thread. Otherwise let this post filter down. I dont hijack other people's thread, so show some respect. If somebody wants what I may be selling PM them. I had some respect for this forum, until I posted this. DAYUM!!!
ps. {flame suit on}
BadassBronco 11-21-2003, 11:31 PM WTF?
i posted what they go for in the REAL world, not in your imaginary mind....
i was giving an exmaple.
Crazed 11-22-2003, 02:26 AM Mine is not for sale....Its for MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Bronco85 11-22-2003, 06:57 PM I will sell my D44 for $200
Oh and I'll sell 2 complete TTB44s for $150 each. And I have 4 or 5 spindles I'll sell for $25 each. And and and and..
Why in the hell are you such an asshole James Williams?
SquattyD 11-23-2003, 12:06 AM james, cool it.
badass isnt being a dick (well, no more than usual) he was just telllin you the truth. he sells more axles than anyone here, he should know.
you asked how much you could get for it, and he told you. and to not let badass be the only one who hijacks your thread, i have also posted in this section a complete d44 radius arms to coils, steering, brakes, etc, for $200 w/ delivery within reason.
its not a dana 60, its a junkyard 44, and you can complete 78/79 broncos for less than half of your price.
sorry to burst your bubble.
James Williams 11-23-2003, 04:39 PM I'm sorry to come across as a jerk, it's tough to put proper tone in a post.

That's why I didn't apreciate him trying to sell his axles in my thread.
As for my price, it is negotiable. I was up front with my offer. I am not going to keep a secret. and as for the higher than normal price, I had to go to 15 salvage yards before I found this one. and most yards want $300-450. there may be alot of rusty 4x4's in the north, but they are harder to find in the southest. not to mention that due to enviromental laws most places have crushed out all their 80's and earlier stuff. Sorry to ruffle all your feathers.
Dustin 11-23-2003, 05:03 PM the price varys from state to state, baddass is the only one Ive seen that can get them for 30bucks, then on the other hand I have to pay 300 here in arizona to get one, not much I could do about it cause thats what they go for here and the are getting harder to find.

i wasnt trying to sell my axles, i can do that on my own.'
i was giving an example that a person could buy one form a cheaper buyer, have it shipped cross country, and still be under your price!
