alright i know the spare tire carrier's came outside tailgate mount, and inside, passenger side if im not mistaken...

anyone have any pictures of interior mounts, factory or otherwise?? maybe even custom bumper's with spare tire mounts on them?

my tailgates destroyed with rust, my window motor brackets have the bottom halves rusted away, and my mounts are all rusted up.



im a capable MIG welder, and fabricator, so the custom bumper idea is a serious option.....

Hell, I'm not so sure a 35" tire will fit inside the truck! If it does, it'd be close. I'll check in the morning.

Look at TommyR's thread in the For Sale forum. That's a nice bumper. This is it:

Just search for rear bumper, a LOT of people that made their own bumpers have built tire carriers into them. I like the idea of Tommy's but when it is closed the tire sticks out too far, plus I think it might look odd with the top off. To each their own though and it is definitely an interesting idea.

I like how his is made without the use of a bender, and all straight cut steel. I may attempt to build one myself.
