I bought an 86 FSB from a member here yesterday and figured I may as well introduce myself. I have been lurking here for a while and looking for a FSB.
I will be doing some work on mine now so I will be asking some questions and doing alot of searching online. I promise to wear out the search function before I wear out my welcome. lol
I am new to Bronco's but have been working on 67-79 F100's for years. I have also rebuilt several 5.0's and 351w's in the past so I am not a complete novice.
I have a 71 F100 my dad bought new and gave to me 27 years ago. I let her get pretty ratty before I pulled her apart and did a back yard restoration and an under the tent paint job.
It came stock with a 302/3 sp but has had 2 different 351w's an AOD, c6 and c4 tranny. She now has a 460/c6 combination with a 3.0 gear soon to be 3.25. I think I am finally happy with this engine.
I have installed power-steering, power-disc brakes and an automatic tranny.
Next mod is to put a Powertrak lock rite in with 3.25 gears.
I had the same lock rite in here a couple years ago and liked it OK. Don't remember why I got rid of it but after some trading I have it back so I may as well use it.
Sorry for the long-winded introduction. I am disabled with a lousy back that keeps me up at all odd hours of the night so I get kind of bored some times. lol
