I am trying to figure out the best way to build my bronco, I am really interested in keeping my TTb and using cut and turned beams, but has anyone tried converting to a 3/4 ton style TTb while keeping it coils, I would like to put a 60 in the rear and possible a 50 TTB out of the same truck, has any one tried this before. I want it to be a good go fast and play in the mud truck.

SteveG mentioned that Autofab built a long travel leaf sprung D50 a while back. Try contacting them for info.
The D50 can't use coils without a lot of work. You can go 8 lug on the TTB D44 using Chevy stuff.

I did this swap about 6 months ago, and myself and ZainyD can answer almost any question you have about it.

really I'd say you should look at the chevy 8 lug outer and forget the D50 stuff. This will give you several advantages with your TTB:
it's still a D44 front (lighter) but the outers will have a slightly bigger/beefier hub (inner wheel bearing a little bigger than a standard D44 inner), plus the hub is 8 lug 9/16ths lugs vs. 1/2T 1/2" studs. The chevy knuckle is a good piece and you could upgreade the TRE's here. The rotor will be K20 12.5" x 1.25 vs stock 1/2 T bronco rotor at 11.75x1. And this whole setup will match great with a D60 rear. I have one of those with Discs, and the rotors mentioned at all 4 corners. I just chose to junk my TTB and put a solid ford axle in, but whatever, you can make a nice setup with this in a TTB.
