I was always more comfortable working the night shifts but these days, my sleep system is completely out of whack.
You planning on doing any truck stuff with your "free time" or are you just completely enamored with the bike life these days?
If so... I totally get it. Get all the riding in while you can. As we get older and all those aches and pains start to catch up, you'll find the saddle time slowly gets less and less, the weather you're willing to brave gets a little less cold/wet, etc. Not to say you'll hang it up... god knows I never will. I just can't claim to be the die-hard, crazy bike-ass I used to be.
I'd love to check some pics when you get back from the adventure, assuming you allow any "evidence" to be gathered. :toothless :goodfinge
Always wanted to check out New Orleans, ever since I watched "Easy Rider" as a kid. :rockon :drinkbud
