With the steering FULLY turned to the right I get just the SLIGHTEST amount of rubbing on the shock... enough for the TRE to scratch the paint off the shock. It has space until you strain the steering to get that very last 1/4" of steering travel, then it hits. I'm thinking, just don't turn it THAT hard to the right... Make sense?

In searching for info on the TRE flip, I just came across an old post from you about flipping your TRE's and still having clearance for the front shocks... I'm running a 6" BDS lift with the drop pitman arm, dual shocks, and sway bars still attached. If I do the TRE flip, do you think I will run into any clearance issues with the front shock or sway bar?

    Thanks,
    T.J.

I know you've probably posted this somewhere, but I'm new to the Forum. How are the snaps holding up on your SofTopper? I'm researching tops and it appears this one is more in my wheelhouse but I'm concerned about snaps and single stitching on the fabric. Any guidance?

    Hi there,
I just found FSB this week and found your link today, wow you have been really busy with your new bko. I have been driving a 78 f150 lifted, 37's and recently pulled the trigger on a 79 bronco w/ a 460, in good shape overall. I was wondering where you ordered your air bumper with shackles and tire carrier from? I had no idea that it was even a posibility to not have to mount the spare hanger to the body! My 79 never had one installed by the looks of the body, unless the holes were filled and painted over. Great work on the jerry can mod, you have definitely worked around these a time or two before. I love learning these really "simple" cool modifications that make your bko so much more useful and last longer. I'm really glad that I came over to the bko side. Btw, I'm sure you've listed in other posts where and I'm sorry for being that one more person, but where did you order your military style soft top? Did you make your roll cage? I'll let you go. thnx take em easy.

The first builds thread rig has 4 inch lift with 33's.
My second one has 6 inch lift and a3 inch body lift with 37's. I'm planing to get smaller tires and lowering the second one. It's just to high for a dd and gas mileage is a killer.

    Hi Ewgoetz,

I hope you don't mind me asking but does your green rig have a 4" lift and 33's.
I just got a stock 1996 and I am deciding what to do. I want the most amount of lift and tire size while being reasonable. I was hoping for 6"lift and 35"s. thanks in advance and sorry for intruding!

I usually don't pull it all the way down. I just roll up all the sides. I did have it all the way down once and I know it rolled up finer I think I might of had to disconnect the bows and than reconnect them when they were all the way down.

Hey man, Was checking out your top and roll cage setup. I have the same top and was wondering if the roll cage interferes with the bows when you put the top up and down or how that works. Loving that setup with the rear belts.

The epoxy gel has been holding up very good. FYI after you put the gel on your gonna have to check on it from time to time to make sure it doesnt seep out or go in places you dont want it to go like on hte outside. I actualy did mine at work and every so often I would check on it and mix and add a little more. think it was like every 15 min or so I added a little at a time and built it up. after I had it build up in all the areas i wanted it to beI used a dremmel and cut/grinded the areas for the tabs even to where they will alow the switch pannel to go on. once it was a grinded down i placed the switch pannel on and drilled a hole for the screw that hold the switch pannel down and than used a stock screw to tap it self into the epoxy. Dont rush it and let it dry a full 24 hours before u grind down the unneeded stuff.

I saw your post using epoxy gel to repair the door panels. I have tabs broken in the same places you do. How is that gel holding up? I want to get mine done asap when I replace the speakers, window channel, and sound deaden the doors.
