Hey I have tonight to get my Power steering pump off and can't get the pulley off or brake loss the bolt holding it on. Which way does the bolt turn and best way to hold the pulley to brake it loss. Do I need a puller to pull it or? Kinda in a hurry lol
You need a puller built for power steering pulleys - don't use a three jaw, it will screw things up. I borrowed one from autozone. The puller threads in to the shaft and separates the pulley from the shaft.
Ya My buddy has 3 pullers but I got to figure out this bolt thing. There's no way to use the puller on it like it is. I am about ready to bust the pulley off and spend 10 bucks on a new one. I never had this much problem on a power steering pump and pulley

So I spent all day working on trying to remove my power steering pump and the pulley and nothing will work. I have done everything I could think of and I have the right puller and nothing. Any ideas? I am about ready to cut the pulley off and all that.
