Ultimate SAS project source

I tried to do some searching this morning for the info we keep telling people to search for, and I had a tough time coming up with anything meaningful. A lot of good stuff was posted over the last few years, but it has been covered up by a ton of other posts screaming "SEARCH!!!"

So, I'd like to start a thread to hold links to all the good SAS build info there is on this site. I'd like the links to point to solid, complete SAS projects of all types. I'm pretty inundated with work these days and my research time is limited, so post up links to threads you think present good SAS info and I'll add them to this post. We're pretty proud of the fact that FSB is the number one source for Bronco info, lets make it easier for people to find it :thumbup

As I started digging through some of these threads, I found that not all projects were documented in a single posting. So, long term projects with multiple postings will have multiple links.

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I don't want it to go away since it is an FYI about the commonly discussed subject of steering, and use of the very common chevy Tie Rod Ends (1/2 ton to 1 ton applications).

Just a clarification that when folks talk about chevy TRE's (don't worry about what size), you still need to understand that different stores sell different brands, and there usually are cheapos and good stuff.

So no matter what your application for the Chevy TRE stuff, look for a known/quality brand, or it'l kinda be like you buying a big gun, and accidently shooting yourself in the foot (when the cheapo fails). Just so ya know, Parts Mike sells Mcquay Norris, as does the shucks/kragen stores, not sure about the zone. this is good OEM stuff reasonable in price. MN is owned now I think by Affinia, which also owns Spicer, Wix, and Raybestos.

This is kinda different, but I went through every issue you guys go through with a Bronco, plus some extras that you don't have to deal with, and actually used this site as a reference for putting my RA swap into my Jeep. I have a full width Bronco '44 on extended radius arms under the front of my Jeep now:

Isn't that funny Kev? KyleQ PM'd the other day...had been looking at Crazed's SAS and could not find mine. I didn't realize until I searched back a ways, I never actually did a full writeup. Several others had just done D44's, and well, I ended up with several threads about issues, fixes, and some upgrades like the frame boxing for the RA's.

And Al, I should have known you'd have the link. :rockon:drinkbud
