Looking at the picture at that unbelievable pristine engine compartment ...lol lol....the "return line" hose, left firewall hole goes to the water pump and the "inline" hose, right firewall hole goes underneath the fuel injection plenum eventually to the lower intake manifold, can't quite see.
If they're hooked up in correctly you won''t have any heat and the temp guage reading may be off.

I have this issue now. Got a new 95, temp gauge doesn't read at all and I recently found I have no heat at all. Could this simply be incorrect heater hose routing?
"...Reversing the heater core hoses (8) AT THE HEATER CORE will not cause any problems, and may help remove debris from the heater core. To bypass a leaking heater core, disconnect the supply (lower, hot) hose at the engine and the outlet (with T) at the heater core. Loop the hose still attached to the engine back to the open nipple. Set the remaining hose out of the way..."

Thanks Miesk5 I was wondering which one went to the HC and which one went to the WP. I guess it doesnt matter. I suppose it doent matter which WP connection I put the bypass hose on and which WP connection I put the HC line on either.
I was going to use that beautiful engine bay picture to post a parts question but I'm not allowed to create new threads yet. Apologies, as I'm not trying to threadjack. I'm overhauling my cooling system because I just bought a 95 Bronco and the hoses need replacement. One of the hoses has the ends of the line all chewed up from the worm clamps being overtightened at both ends, but the only reference to it in the manual that I see is that it is called the "heater water bypass hose" and has no part number. It attaches right under the overflow tank tube in my car and I guess it's only on E4OD versions. I need to get a new one or replace the tubing on either side. Is there a part number for this? The middle portion of the line is metal and is clamped onto the radiator. Thanks!
Should be just called a bypass hose. There shouldnt be anything permanently attached to the radiator. There should be some lines attached to the tranny going into the radiator for heating purposes , but , they should have threaded fittings .

Throttle Body Coolant Line From Radiator to Throttle Body; Ford part number; "F2TZ8555B (20" mounting tabs) (2 core radiators);...in another post he wrote; ; 20" would be a 2 core radiator; 24" would be for a 1 core radiator"

Yeah, I just noticed that this morning when my ordered was canceled by the dealer. Apparently neither of the hoses I tried to order is available. I haven't seen any aftermarket support, and I don't want to pull from a junkyard for rubber hoses. Do I just fab the part? I'm ok with it except I don't know about all the metal parts of the hose. Is it because it's high pressure? Or can I just run a rubber hose?
yo,
DIY, like 3speed did;
Coolant Line From Radiator to Throttle Body Fabrication & Installation pics in a 96 :...Here's the photos of the Gates transmission cooler line I used. I also used Oetiker stainless smooth inside crimp clamps. I think they were 21/32" diameter = 16mm. Which is what the 162 mark on them is for....16.2mm. In the photo it looks like its close to the alternator pulley. But its not. 2D photo in a 3D world. It just runs across the top of the radiator and makes a loop over by the fill neck. The last photo is the short one from the water outlet on the intake to the bottom of the throttle body. Not very expensive either. I think $8 worth of hose. Its pretty high temp stuff...and good to 400psi. My cooling system doesn't quite get to 400 psi..."

That is some great work and beyond my capabilities. I can't/don't weld, but I might be able to do some flaring to metal tubes to get that whole metal/rubber hose combo thing working.
It doesn't matter if it's carb or EFI - the flow is the same for virtually all engines: out of the head near the t'stat (& into the intake manifold on most V engines) to the heater core, back to the WP.
I know I may be in the wrong section for this but does anyone have a diagram/pic of where the vacuum hose connects inside the dash to all the little vacuum things that open and close for like defrost/heat/vents, etc. and then goes out to meet with the vacuum reservoir? Mine is a 79 and doesn't have the hose or the reservoir but I just need to know where it is supposed to connect up under the dash.
I had no luck finding that part. I just ran the regular hose all the way to the connection and zip tied it. You could probably also remove the metal part of the hose and re-crimp the heater hose to it. I don't know how to do that so I skipped it.
Thank you.
Once again your knowledge goes way over our heads sometimes.
For instance, when I look for this part number 18472, I get all kinds of info - like F6XZ-18472-BB, F6XZ-18472-BB, F3UZ18472BA and so on.
What exactly do I look for in these numbers?
Replace it all with hose, and then take a piece of the old hose, split it lengthwise, slip it over your new hose, and use it to protect the new hose where it comes into contact with the alternator. Done
