Try cleaning your battery posts and cables. Sounds like you have a bad ground.

Ust follow your negative cable down to the block. Should be a 9/16 bolt holding it to the front of the block right behind the smog pump.

If everything's dead, you probably burned a fusible link or two. Grab a test light or a voltmeter, start probing, starting at the battery, then moving away.

Start going through the fuse boxes and make sure nothing's blown. Unlikely, but possibly the problem here.

Unlike Sig, I don't have any idea what the problem is. :/

But I do know that his idea of the meter or a test light is the way to go.
Any idiot with a meter and time to mess with it can find an electrical problem.
I know that to be true! Because this idiot has BTDT uh hunnerd times. LOL :)

You can do it, just get a meter or get someone with a meter.
It's easier and easier the more times you find trouble with a meter.
The first time is the best and most fun! LOL :)

Chico, you can do it. :)
Don't freak, take time to think.

Test for continuity on the battery cables....the cables can go bad in between the terminals.

Don't throw in the towel just yet.

thanks to all who responded

found the problem. my ground wire was bad, started stripping it and found all the copper, well what remained was pretty burned. so i replaced it $6 from autozone. now another question what the hell caused that to happen? will it happen again? Soon?

Natural corrosion, and probably not for a very long time.

my ground wire was bad,
Was the bad spot near the battery end where the acid got to it? :)

I use motor oil to protect the battery terminals and wire.
Especially if the wires are exposed I oil those so the oil will go inside.

I also use the red/green felt washers but soak motor oil into them.
It's kind of messy looking but beats having dry corrosion. ;)
