Also anyone know of some 2-track trails in my area? Thanks ![]() |

Dude you have one now, go thru it air cleaner to tail pipe and then bury it to the axles see what that FORD will do just call someone to go with you so aren't by yourself going to get a john deere to pull you out plus you'll have a witness for your stories of mighty Fords ablity

there is no escape route in owning a bronco. Give me a PM if you wanna catch up some time. im down in Hamilton(just east of holland) numerous times a week. as for 2 track trails... good luck. just remember that power lines are NOT LEGAL. no matter what your friends tell you, or how long they've been going there, they are trespassing and it looks bad for all of us. there are a couple parks within an hour and a half of you that offer all the wheeling you can handle. easy stuff to hard stuff depending on how far you wanna push it. all in all i have to say though good choice on asking for assistance from the get go. so many people jump in blind and miss what its all about. Its not how big your truck is or the mods you've got done, its the experiences you have and the friends you share them with. don't forget that. ![]() |

I'm in Jenison, so not too far away from ya. Maybe half an hour up I-196. I use mine every day, too.
I don't use any trails around here, and it's definitely not worth going on land without permission. Who knows how hard this new DNRE is going to come down on people? Anyway, I don't know of any public ORV trails or areas, other than Silver Lake. I just stick around here and wait for the snow to start falling. ![]()

not to hijack but what kind of trickle down effects do you think that will have on the rules and regulations? it sounds like they are just streamlining the office work side of it... putting all the many different little groups into larger groups... but from what i gather(unless i missed somthing which has been known to happen) we the people will be handled the same way just by someone new.

being handled by someone new always sounds ominous, well just have to wait and see, Hopefully the new DNRE are not a bunch of sandal wearing granola eaters, (dont get me wrong, I love the environment too but am not a militant environmentalist either)
but it stands to reason if you play by the rules you will not have any problems. although it does help to know what the rules are, especially if they change! as for snow, living by the lake shore was part of the motivation for going "full size". (that and I'm too big to fit into a jeep; @ 6'6" & 245lbs). I think this will actually be the first year I enjoy driving in winter! |
