With the approval of FSB Admin we have a "Name This Part" Sticky! If you need help determining a part name or just want to read through and educate yourself this is the place to do it. To eliminate multiple part identifier threads and keeping the site clean, this sticky will be used to allow the FSB veterans to help us Noobs in identifying our unknown parts.
Recommendation:
Pictures, pictures, pictures. It is a best practice to not only include a close up of the part in question, but a wider shot so that viewers can get a good orientation of where on the truck we are looking at. Provide description to the best of your abilities.
It is also best to provide details of the year and engine type and any other details of your FSB/Ford Truck worth noting. The more information the better.
Any other information to add to this post is welcome. Otherwise I hope this thread can help keep the site clean and be of good use to all. Happy Hunting!
That's the diverter valve. All it does it redirect air (from smaog pump) to the heads to heat it then send it to the cats to warm them. Eventually, it closes sending non heated air to them.

yo dwade,
Water Pump By-Pass 3-Way Tee (HEX shape) pic & Ford part number; for coolant outlet on lower intake manifold (has the port for the ECT sensor and tubes for the heater core and TB is E8TZ-18B402-C TUBE ASY-HTR WATER; about $86.26 at Ford fordparts.com
I've figured out what this part is. It's the door chime. My question is, where is it supposed to be mounted? While fixing the Automatic shift indicator I came across it laying in the dash, not mounted anywhere. Just sitting on the lower panel with the plug the only thing keeping it from falling out.

The wires will only reach so far, so it has to go somewhere near where you found it. If you can't find the factory holes, just screw it to something - it's not critical.
I am looking at a bronco that I am thinking of purchasing and the cowl?(i.e. the piece of metal between the hood and windshield where the wipers attach) is caved in and i am trying to find the part online to see how much it is to replace but I cant seem to find it in any of the catalogs so I was wondering if i had the right part name?

Trey;2939789what is the sliver canister looking thing in the top left corner. I just noticed today that the tube coming out of it is broken.[/QUOTE said:
yo TREY,
Ford describes it as the Outside Recirculate Door Vacuum Motor
Replace hose or repair as shown by JohnMcD348; "...began pulling out the tubing. To my surprise, the tubing that inside the plastic tubing was like new..." read more http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/showthread.php?t=175808
or splice in a new section (feel for where to cut along soft section of hose) w/vacuum line in-line connectors or thin wall copper or brake line tube
The air handling system is designed to provide defrost when no vacuum is applied to any of the three air door vacuum motors in 92-96. This is done to prevent a situation where defrost cannot be obtained due to a system vacuum leak. Instead, a leak in the vacuum control circuit will send all airflow to the defroster outlets. This condition may occur during acceleration (slow leak), may exist at all times (large leak) and may happen only when certain specific functions are selected, indicating a leak in that portion of the circuit

what is this in center of pic, right in front of the tad and tab solenoids? Is it the diverter? Every picture or diagram I've seen is differant than mine.
I get a ticking sound from it, is something missing? I appreciate any help.
All the pics you find here will be different because Broncos weren't offered >8500GVWR, and that arrangement is specific to heavy engines. But it's a combined diverter/bypass valve that works exactly like the one used on lighter trucks.
Thanx, Steve, I appreciate the reply. I just thought somebody had to have swapped one of these before. Now my question is, why do I get a ticking sound from it? If i cover the two holes under the red vacuum line, it gets quieter, but doesn't stop. Thanx again.
Seeing as how my dad never had any SUVs besides the bronco, this has to be some part of it (i hope). i found this in a stash of stuff in the garage. It is too thin to fit across both sides of the bronco like a normal cargo cover, but it has a cut out for what looks like a spare tire.
Nope. The fact that it doesn't fit should have told you that much. The fact that there are no mounting points for it in the bedwalls should have confirmed it. Broncos didn't get a cargo cover until '94, and only high-trim trucks optionally. Click my black Bronco in my sig & read the captions in the Cargo Cover album.
I don't understand your questions. :scratchhe The first one looks like you're asking where something is that's not there. :shrug It's NOT there. I didn't create that diagram. If you want to see the original, click the link in the caption. If you want diagonals, this one has some:
Yes, the first one is for '80-91 Broncos. No, the shop manuals don't contain frame diagrams. And more to-the-point: the diagonals DIDN'T CHANGE from '80-96, so use the 2nd diagram. The only significant change was the frame accordion & front bumper tabs.

Cool, thanks for that, Steve gonna use it pretty quick.

So back to the use for all those pins hanging from the frame...
In those diagrams it shows -one- use for only -two- of the pins.
What's the other use that includes all the pins at the same time? xD
