Sea-Foam

I while ago, I posted that i thought I might have a stuck lifter or rocker out of adjustment at start up. It made noise for about 5 minutes or so on start up, even after an oil change.

A couple of guys here suggested I get a can of Sea Foam from NAPA.

Well, I did, and it worked like a charm.

Within 2 days, the noise was almost gone... within 5 days, completely gone.

Six bucks, and I was good to go.

It's an additive... I put 3/4's (about 8 ounces) into my oil, and the rest in the gas.

I seem to only find it at NAPA. Haven't seen it anywhere else as of yet. I put a full can of it in the gas at fill-up every 3,000 miles for optimum running. It's a great preventive measure.

I tried out Sea Foam also after reading this post.
Truck runs much better now. Smoother, better off the line.
One of my Ex's decided to try it also in her Explorer Sport, she had the same results....and I got a little for doing it
