Vinyl Camo Wrap

Anybody done this?

http://www.powersportswraps.com/moto...ilitary-desert

I searched and saw some people talk about it, but no pictures of a FSB with it. It's gonna run around $900, which is comparable to a low rent paint job. The bright orange/red/wtf color that my Bronco is is killing me. This is a desert truck.

Whattya think?

When i was looking into this it was somewhere around $3500 for urban camo...that stuff your looking at seems like it might be worth looking into!

The company I work for has similar stuff on a bunch of sprinter vans with the company logo and stuff. It has held up really well to the weather and everyday driving, but I dont know about branches and things. I would hate to have a sharp stick peel all that of the side of my truck.

Volume pricing for 30 sheets is $31 a sheet. 30x31 is 930 i think.

Bronco Info: Looking...
I use to install vehicle wraps for a living, and if you are going to tackle the wrapping yourself make sure you know what you are doing or at least have some one there who does. Its actually a lot harder than it looks to make it look good and it sucks to mess up $1500 of material (trust me I know).

I will echo AuroraBronco's thoughts...make sure you or someone you know definitely knows what they are doing. Vinyl can look great when it is applied right (and last a long time and hold up like paint) but when it is done wrong, it is very easy to tell...lol

I like the looks of that camo one. Everybody spends their dough on different stuff. I see bumpers that cost a G that people put on. I wouldn't ever have a need for that. Maybe I'll just paint it with desert tan looking paint, same basic color but not as much money. I started tearing apart the inside today, I want to do some stuff in there. I guess this project will wait for now.

i agree 100% with jason. if you wanna go cheap just give it a rattle can camo job. use some branches with leaves to make a pattern or go with some army camo. and the best part is if you screw up just keep adding more paint till u like it.

I guess I'm just gonna do something cheap. Dropping a grand on something that will/could just get ripped off when I am out is not a good idea after-all. Would rather dump the dough on some Hefty bumpers.

Its actually pretty durable. Sure it can rip but it will need something very sharp to do it. Most branches and brush will just do a pinstripe scuff like it would with paint. The nice thing with it is if you ever get tired of it you can take it off and you'll have nice paint under it.
