80-96 Soft tops

Hefty Fabworks is proud to announce that we are now carrying Soft tops for the 80-96 Bronco.

The Fullsize Ford Bronco Softoppers are now in stock! Please note that the side windows in the photos are not accurate. All Bronco tops now have windows similar in shape to the original slant style. New pics to be uploaded soon. They are available in black, grey, tan or white with your choice of lightly smoke grey tinted windows or dark charcoal tint. The Soft Top will definitely compliment the summertime Bronco experience. The sides and rear window panels roll up, or the entire Softop can be retracted to the rear in seconds. Complete removal only takes a minute more.

Included is a protective boot cover that must be used when driving with the unit retracted rearward.

Initial installation takes about an hour. The side rails bolt onto the vehicles bedrails. No Drilling required

Pricing

$799
Dark tint add $60

Free shipping for FSB members!!!!

These are not cheap vinyl tops. The fabric is a premier, automotive convertible topping, which consists of an exterior grade woven fabric, with a UV stabilized PVC coating for water resistance. It's been proven against, wind, rain, sunlight, fading, mildew and rot, and will remain beautiful for years. It is also the chosen fabric used by many major OEM convertible manufacturers such as Jeep, Ford and Chrysler.

might have to get one of those. ive always wanted the one that was offered years ago that wasnt a soft top but a hard top that sloped down to cover it like a pickup truck. jbg is supposed to be carrying them sooon. if i get the choice ill probably buy the hard style first, but soft top wont bother me either.

This is one of those mods that I did then sold my soft top because where I lived it snowed 8 months out of the year. Then I moved back to warmer elevations and wish I had it. I drove around all last summer with no top but the kids got cold when it would rain and at night. I didn't want to spend the money on the JBG (Rampage) after seeing it in person. After seeing this one my biggest hold back was the side windows but they changed the design to fit the bronco. This is a top that should last 10 or more years easily. I don't like paying for things more than once if I don't have too.

$20

They don't have many pics of the bronco tops yet. I'll see what I can find. The top does come with the storage bag when you do want it folded back.

$20 Are you pullin my leg?
I want a white one with the light gray windows.
How does the flap on the tailgate fasten down?
Let me understand you are saying I can pull it and put my regular top on pretty easily too.

How does this work with the interior bed panels? I assume the interior hardtop trim panels come off permanantly, but can you keep the bed-side panels (where the speaker cover/cupholders are ) ?

And are these year specific? I'm wondering if I could buy one that could fit both my 88 and my 96.

The tops will fit 80-96. They have bolt in rails that bolt into the stock hardtop locations (no drilling) The initial instal should take about an hour and yes you can take them off easily to put back the hard top.

The price is going up $20 May 1st. I was informed of that yesterday afternoon.

This is the actual text from the instructions on the tailgate section:

Quote:
VELCRO – OPTIONAL - Take the 3 pieces of Velcro Tape.
With the rear window panel installed pull down the zippers and adjust so that the back flap sits nicely along the top of the tailgate. Tug gently on the back flap and find the place where it seems to sit easily. There is Velcro (loop) sewn along the bottom inside edge of the back flap. This is where the Velcro tape must line up once installed on the tailgate. Not too high, not too low. Just right so it won't be seen when the back is zipped down and secured. Tip: Use a removable crayon to help you line things up. Don't pull off the sticky backing yet.

Note: Be sure to clean the area (remove any wax or dirt) where the Velcro will be installed. Install one dead-center, and the other two on opposite ends of the tailgate (see photo).
Note: Wrap an extra inch or so at each end around the edge of the tailgate. When it is even, carefully press it against the tailgate and press along back and forth to make sure it is firmly attached everywhere.
Note: Velcro tape will reach maximum holding strength after 24 hours.
Plastic tailgate protectors generally have a waxy surface (which reduce the holding strength of the Velcro glue) so it is best to apply the Velcro directly on the paint.

So the side windows do not look like that anymore, is that correct?

Correct. They follow the body lines now. Very similar to the stock windows.
