Depends how much work your willing to do. Go with a stock one and its bolt in. Go with a aftermarket larger one than you will ahve to fab some brackets up to make it fit. A bigger aftermarket one would be better.

That is what I am using, a B&M Racing 29,200 BTU Transmission Oil Cooler (11x11x1.5)(PN 70274). Add in a Perma-Cool Remote Transmission Oil Filter Mount (PN 10678) and a WIX Transmission Fluid Filter (PN 51622) why you are at it.

The cooler is about $93.00 and the filter mount is about $60.00. See Summit, Jegs, B&M or Perma-Cool. The oil hose is specific or spend the money and go braided stainless steel like I did.

Not enough to notice. If you're towing the truck's max trailer weight through Death Valley in June with the cruise set at 80mph, you probably still couldn't measure a difference in the 2 coolers' performance.

Sort of. All are -6 AN lines which are equivalent to 3/8". Everything is using adapter fittings to -6 AN as they make a better connection. There is almost any kind of hydraulic adapter fitting you can think of available. See this link: BillaVista Tech Garage Plumbing Bible

Hey Seattle-How did you attach the lines as they went along the body? Do they have special retainers or fasteners? I replaced my hard lines but just went with standard rubber transmission hose. I have the stock trans plate cooler and a Perma-cool aux filter too...

These clamps do very well with the lines that SeattleFSB used for his transmission. Those lines are common on the fighter jets as are the clamps.
