5.0 & 5.8 Fuel Rail spacing ?

Anyone know the differance in width for the fuel rails between a 302 and 351? as in accros the intake, perpindicular to the heads. I am looking at getting a fuel rail kit and there are more 5.0 kits then 5.8 kits. Was going to get a 5.0 kit and make the lines longer to work on the 5.8 intake.
The SVO book I have says the intakes are 2.25 different. I was unsure if that applied to the fuel injector holes as well.

That would probably be about right. The rails themselves would be the same, if you go with a kit that's AN lines and cut yourself it shouldn't be bad.

On my 5.8 i just bought edelbrock rails and stuck in some pipe thread adapters to AN/JIC fittings and made up a short crossover hose. Had pirtek do the new fuel supply, and return lines and a short line from the rail to the pressure regulator.

I was thinking the same on the cut it to length kit. Russel makes one that looks like it would work well.

Accel also has one they say is for eithier, I dont know if the lines are extra long or what though and can't really find any good info on it.

the edelbrock one seems pricey. You can piece it together cheaper. Accel one might be a good option. you could always make up a line if its short. its simple

Yeah the making the lines does not worry me too much. Was just looking for some input.
Thanks

I recommend that you consider Professional Products Fuel Rails. Good quality for a good price. I had a problem with ECT TEE clearance, but nothing a fitting couldn't fix. 5.0L/5.8L crossover line is different length, fuel injector spacing is the same.

My Professional Products EFI Adjustable FPR (PN 10679) works great with no issues. Along with the Holley/Walbro 255 lph In-tank Fuel Pump, Canton Racing Products CM EFI High Flow Fuel Filter and Professional Products Powerflow Fuel Rail, it holds a steady 42 psi. But it is not the only adjustable FPR out there.

Did not know you were running one of their regulators as well. I have to look some more into their stuff.
Im more making sure my fuel system will not be the limiting factor when my new engine goes in. Would the stock pieces be sufficent, maybe, if anything these will look better.

Ended up getting the accel kit. However I would probably get the trick flow kit if I was to get the stuff again. The Accel kit is made to put fuel injection on a car with the regulator and that at the front of the engine. I had to change some things to make it work but its fine now, and I don't think any kit would of been 100% bolt on. I did use professional products fuel line adapters to go to the stock lines.

I will have to get a good one of what I ended up doing.
The stock ECT TEE piece was kept but changed a little bit for clearance on the front of mine, Im also not running a front cross over line.
