Info on the Heat/AC recyle mod
I have searched and can't find the thread, but I'm sure I saw one on here about a mod to the climate controls to have a recycle option in any mode of heat or AC.
By the looks of the vacuum line diagram for my 95 it looks like it would be easy, but I want to get some feedback from those that have done this mod.

To have an option, you'd have to add a control switch/valve. The only way I know to do that is to swap to the '87-early '88 control panel, which has an independent recirculate valve. I used one in my truck for many years, but I haven't decided whether to use it in the new build.
AFAIK, no one has done anything like that to a '92-96. |

Here's one for an 87-91. Looks like your only issue might be finding a location for the extra switch.

I saw a picture of something similar to the link from forbye, but on a 92-96. They installed a small control. I think at the bottom right of the control panel. I was just thinking of running a line from the black hose to white and putting a manual valve between them, but I like the idea of the switch and the powered valve. After an exhaust leak from the passenger manifold I want this option. The exhaust would get sucked right in the cab with the heat on at stop lights, not to mention fumes from other vehicles. My exhaust is no longer a problem but others still are.

Modern car exhaust is probably cleaner than the air in the truck. There's a seal between the firewall & hood to prevent underhood air from entering the fresh air duct, so your own exhaust leak shouldn't be an issue. And even on recirc, there's still outside airflow - you're not inside sealed chamber.
