Bronco Graveyard Tank Strap Experiences?
My gas tank is questionable, and I'm planning on replacing it.
I'm considering using the straps from Bronco Graveyard: http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-...raps-pair.html to hold the tank in place, and then bolting the factory skidplate back over top. This should give me a little more space between the skidplate and the tank, but also just make it easier to remove the skidplate in the future to beef it up. Have you ever used these straps? How did they work? |

No, I just replaced my tank a few weeks ago because it was leaking and I dont think both will fit. I didn't like how the skidplate rubbed the tank either. There were two factory strips of material to insulate the tank and skidplate. I ended up using the rubber strips that go on the bottom of garage doors to replace the factory webbing/insulation.
Something like this: http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1...1#.UK0aV-TBGjM The particular molding I bought was only 6ft and it was flatter. It was like 6 bucks |

I used insulation for truck bed caps (from Home Depot) when I installed my gas tank and skid plate. I did a lot of work rust proofing my replacement tank, but my skid plate was installed as is. I will not consider the job done until I have stripped the entire skid plate and repainted it. Maybe next spring. Until then it is half finished.

I used those on mine when I put in the poly tank. They work good I have wrinkled one of them on a rock our something, but it works good.
