Oh boy, this started already. This is not going to be easy, there are a Bunch of killer Broncos in this group and I have nothing really new to show, but I will rehash everything I have and give it my best.

Let the whoring begin.........
Bought this Bronco in Dec of 2008. I am the third owner, it is a 1993 XLT with the 5.8L in it. When I bought it, it had only two mods.... a set of 32" BFGs with KMC Enduros and a set of Monroes. Truck was in great shape, and I got it for a steal: Paint was a little rough, but I had plans to fix: ![]() ![]() ![]()

Now I originally set aside some money for a paint job... thinking it owuld be a priority, but a close friend is a professional detailer, he insisted to give him first shot at trying to wake the original paint back up.... after 14 hours, and a ton of elbow grease:

Wow Dale is motivated and ready to start this ok then. Here is the earliest picture I have of mine and it's really not the focus of the picture. This is from before I found fsb and became an addict.
![]() Now to the first wheeling trip I did w/ it. I went with my brother inlaw, brother and a friend of his. Another friend of my brothers with a 78 Bronco was supposed to go but bowed out last second. Trip was to GWNF and Crabtree Falls. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Finally wheeling ![]() Dennis' Jeep (brothers friend) ![]() Brother Paul's Zuk ![]() Mud ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And this was the end of the bully steps. ![]() ![]() Got pulled out by the jeeps winch. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Something's missing ![]() ![]() ![]() The following picture is not work safe, back out now or throw up! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ![]() I told yaNow to camp. ![]()

Holy chit! Can't believe it's already time for FOTY!
Guess I'll start at the beginning . . . I guess my fascination for everything Bronco goes back to my high school days when a friend of a friend had a Bronco (a 66??) and would do 4-wheel burnouts in the parking lot. I always thought that Bronco was really cool. Fast forward to 1980 and I bought my first Bronco - a 69 - and it was my daily driver for almost 8 years. I bought it in Eureka, CA when I was in the Navy and took it to Austin, TX to go back to school. I sold that one in Houston as the family expanded and got my first FSB - a brown and tan 82. Great vehicle but I only had it for about a year. I got transferred in my job and was assigned a company car and could not justify keeping the Bronco. (One of those decisions you regret!) I got back into Broncos in 1999 when we purchased a 74 Ranger from my wife's Grandmother's estate. She had bought it new and it was still in very good condition. Soon after getting it I took it to Paragon Adventure Park and proceeded to bend the front bumper and ding up the front fender! My wife said no more wheeling in Granny's Bronco so I talked her into letting me get an early Bronco trail rig project. Which I did. We still have both of those EB's but I had been wanting another FSB for some time - just how to convince the wife??? (And the 78-79's were really growing on me!) At the SuperCelebration in 2008 I showed my wife a REALLY nice 79 and remarked how I would like to have one and how it would make a great tow vehicle for our trail rig. To my surprise she agreed that having a big Bronco would be nice - the hunt was on! So here is what I found in Newport News and drug home! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Specs: 78 Bronco Custom 351M / C6 / NP203 (converted to part time by original owner) AC / PS / PB Front bench seat Bright Yellow w/ Black & Silver interior, black top, factory pinstripping White wagon wheels w/black centers |

A quick history lesson. I bought my Bronco back in '03, which means i am coming up on 10 years with this Bronco, It had 72k on it and was total stock. This Bronco replaced my '79 that had 220k on it and rust everwhere, but it was covered well, lol. Here's the 2 together.
