no spedo, no dome lights, hard shifts
I drive a 93 bronco 5.8l E4OD. Recently the odometer, speedometer, radio, and dome lights have gone out. The bronco also started to shift at crazy points and sometimes not unroll 3k rpm. the headlights work, the abs light isn't on and the overdrive override seemingly still works. I checked the small fuse panel and none were blown. I have no idea what to look for now. Anyone has had this issue or know's about it, any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're sure those fuses are ok? pay particular attention to 8, 11 and 18 in your small fuse panel.

Very similar problem was a fuse on my dads 93 f150. Can't say it's exact because his was a 5spd.

I double checked all of my fuses, and replaced the speed sensor on the rear diff. No fuses are blown and the speed sensor didn't change anything. Any other ideas? Possibly a second fuse box? Thank for the help I am working 90hrs a week right now and don't have time to take everything apart.

WHY? Put the original back.Of course not - that's like changing the knob because your headlights don't come on.That wasn't an idea from us - that was something YOU randomly chose to do. Did you take ANY of our suggestions?Have you looked in your owner's manual? Yes, there are 2 fuse boxes on '92-up trucks.

![]() What exactly does this mean? How recently? What else happened around that time, or just before? Does the odometer show NOTHING, or does it just not count? Is the radio display on, but no sound from the speakers, vice versa, or nothing at all? Is it only the dome lights, the dome & map lights, all the interior courtesy lights, or also the hood lamp? |

Geez Steve... The problem started a week ago. I started my truck to go to work and noticed that the spedo and odo didn't come on, I had to drive it to work which is when I noticed the hard shifts, I didn't notice the lights out radio then. I called the trans shop that did my overhaul a month ago They said they would check it out. They replaced the sensor thinking that was the issue given the symptoms I knew at the time. When they gave my truck back I noticed that all the courtesy lights and the radio were out. They don't seem to have any power to them. The hood light never worked. The truck worked perfectly the night before. I didn't do anything new to it, just parked out and went inside. My truck didn't come with a manual, I didn't mean take EVERYTHING apart literally. Cluster gauge lights up. Odo stays blank and the speed needle stays at the stop under 0. Thanks for the help gentlemen.

Geez Micahdo...
We're not mind readers - we can only read what you post. And contradicting yourself only causes confusion & wasted time. The more precise, specific, accurate, & complete the information YOU provide is, the better our suggestions will be.Quote:
