Seat Problem
I was sitting in my Bronco at the drive through the other day and when I leaned back to get my wallet the seat back fell backwards. If I pull it back up it will stay but if I lean back it falls again. There were some black plastic pieces on the floor under the seat. Is this something that be fixed or am I going to need new seats. If it can be fixed where do I get the parts from.

You're gonna have to do more work than that. Study these diagrams & inspect your chair more thoroughly.
Upload clear pics of the plastic you found. http://www.supermotors.net/forums/th...-and-or-videos For more info, click the tan CV in my signature & read the captions in the Seats & Belts album. |

Thanks for the offer. I Found a set of seats from a 94 f150 crew cab that I was able to pick up cheap. The pieces of plastic I found (The following is from a body shop man) are pieces that were built into the seat and are designed to break if the truck rolls over to prevent the driver from being crushed. My wife says it's a sign that I need to loose some weight. LOL

And does anyone know what seats will fit in there without having to do any major mods (like changing frames and etc) My buddy's dad owns a body shop and has a friend that does upholstery, they exchange work with each other so his friend does work for cheap. I had him redo the seats in my 94 Chevy with leather, he did the full set (front buckets and rear bench) for $300. He recovered the seats in my buddy's 96 Camaro with a leather outsides and cloth centers with the chevy bow tie embroided into the backs. I'd like to find a set of buckets and a center console that will fit in the bronco without having to do much other than drilling holes, then have the buckets and rear seat recovered with something similar to my buddy's, only with a bucking bronc embroided into them. |

I'd love to do something like that, but I don't have easy access to a welder. My buddy's dad is where I've always done my work, and that's where I'll be painting my bronco whenever he has an opening where he has nothing in the shop.
I'm talking unbolting the seat and drilling new holes in the floors and bolting in new seats. Is there a difference between the buckets vs bench seats in these? Would I be able to pickup some buckets out of a 92-96 bronco/full size ford? |

Mine were a direct bolt in. No mods needed. Just remember that you need the seat belts if you plan on somebody sitting in the middle seat.
![]() had a place to put your arm and holds a 32 oz styrofoam cup. ![]() Room for 1 more ![]() Still slides forward so you can get in the back seat ![]() Required seat belt I got these for $100 and the rest of the interior for another $100. I haven't installed the rest of the interior yet and I have some black carpet and sound deadner/heat shield on back order.

If you don't want to use the center seat then you can just reuse your center console.
