C6 Transmission NSS
My NSS has 6 wires and only 4 are hooked up. Does anyone know what all the wires are for?

IIRC, there should only be four wires.
Backup lights, Neutral start, park start. Got any pictures?

I'd have to guess that the NSS &/or trans was swapped in from another vehicle. How about squirting some 409/Fantastik/SimpleGreen/PurplePower on those wires & rinsing them under hot water? Avoid scrubbing or abrading them, or using any solvents - you could take the color off.

Don't keep posting the same question in every old thread. READ them all, follow ALL the suggestions that might apply to your truck until you identify the things that DO apply, then find the ONE thread that most-closely applies to your truck, and post all your results in it, followed by all your NEW questions. Don't repeat questions that have already been asked & answered in that thread or the others. Until someone replies, you can keep editing your questions into your first post in that thread; don't keep adding posts replying to yourself.
This is NOT the right thread for you - it's about an older truck with a different trans that uses an NSS; yours uses a MLPS. Click this, read the whole caption, and fill in your profile & signature with all the relevant info: Don't reply in this thread. The other one is closer, but keep reading & testing first. |
