Have a 79 hp dana 60 with Dayton dual piston calipers. Can these calipers be ground down to fit 15" rims? I have seen and read a lot of info on grinding calipers but none were daytons. They actually look lower profile than the ones I've seen ground down. They don't wrap over the top of the rotor but they do seem pretty long. Anyone ever tried to fit 15's over these?

I ran 15's with dual piston calipers on my rig only way for it to work is getting wheels with a 2.75" back spacing. No grinding necessary.

Awsome, they look just like mine. Thank you.
So your saying 2.75 bs and i can fit 15" steelies on it. Cool. If i wanted more backspacing i would have to do some grinding then. Do you think 2.75 bs won't put to much stress on the wheel bearings? How far did your wheels stick out. I'll be running 35" 12.5 r15 tires. |

Pistons are easily removed. pull the silcone/rubber boots on the piston and the cups slide right out. only speciality tool you need is a brake hone.
