looking to buy first bronco help!
im looking into buying a 1988 ford bronco Eddie Bauer Edition. I've never owned a bronco and have a few questions.
The previous owner says this thing has a sun roof. Did ford ever put a sun roof into their broncos? If so were do i get a new hard top without one? Is it convertible? Im not sure if all broncos are. if so where can i get a new soft top. Im canadian so it has to be able to be shipped to canada. Thanks guys, im a new member and love the bronco look and cant wait tio get my rig going. Will post pics later |

sunroof is aftermarket, I would stay away from them. They are known for leaking. Is it in the cab roof or the topper? if it's in the topper it can be easily swapped with another top.

I don't recall ever seeing a factory sunroof on a Bronco. And even if it was factory sunroof I would avoid it like a plague. All sunroofs will eventually leak over time, bodies twist when used.

If by "sunroof" you mean that when you take off the hard top the sun will come through the roof that way, then yes there's a bunch of sunroofs on FSBs.

All FSBs are technically "convertible" in that you can remove the fiberglass top. Later models with third brake lights and rear shoulder straps may not be legally convertible, but people do it all the time. Just a few options on soft tops - most should be shipable to Canada.

Ford did not put sunroofs on the fullsize brocnos. Yes the top comes off making it a convertible for the back only.
Are you buying this off Craigslist? Can you share pictures with us so we can get more of a idea of what your working with?
