No matter where i look i can not find a cowl induction hood for my 1990 bronco. I have looked everywhere. only one i found was a fiberglass 3in rise for 700 dollars. Will an early 80s hood fit on a 90? Or does anyone know where i can find a cowl hood for a 90?

i have been messing around with a spair hood for my 89 bronco and making it a 3.5inch cowl. i havent got the right look down on it yet, but you can always go to a JY, buy a 40 dollar hood. Stop and harbor frieght and buy a air recip saw and cut off tool, and make your own. Access to a welder is a must as well, but hey, im about 70 bucks into mine, and when i get it right, and painted, i might have 120 into it.
DIY is always better then buying. Even if you cant get it *perfect* doing it start to finish yourself makes it better, even with slight discrepancies.

1980-1986 hoods will not fit 87-91 or 92-96.

I did see on here one guy made his own. I have access to all the tools to do it so I guess that's the direction I'm headed. Work on that when I start making my winch bumper. Anyone know what gauge sheet metal to use for the cowl?

What i did in the past was take an old hood and cut it wide then fold the edges down. Cut how high i wanted it and welded it on. Came out nice and kept the body line down the center.
