flat black paint

a buddy used tractor supply implement paint with a thinner and a dry and got great results fo under $50. 00 per gallon! has anyone else expiereanced the same? or similar results

i'd be interested in hearing all about this because i've been trying to dig up as much info as possible about cheap/easy but nice looking paint jobs and body work.

btw i've used the magic barn/fence paint and it very high quality and looks like new after being about 10 years.
