blower randomly doesnt work
Hey guys. This morning(about 36 degrees) I got in my 89 bronco to warm it up and the blower didnt turn at all. it was like it was unplugged completely, but it wasnt. I checked the fuse and harness and they were both fine. Later on down the road I tried it again and it came on just fine as normal. This isnt the coldest morning its been in. Ive had 22 degree days and it worked fine. Its a brand new blower and the speed switch in the dash is also new. Im asking in fear that Ill have to take another morning drive freezing my ass off. Thanks

The only other part in the line is the resistor. Tho I dont see why it wouldnt allow operation at all. I am not an electrician so Im not sure on how to check resistance. Ive never been able to master that skill but, process of elimination would point to the resistor if the other two components are new and all the fuses are good.

OK so this morning I noticed the blower works fine key on engine off. Its when I start the engine. Also my key is sticking so the starter will stay on if I don't pull it back.

When the blower does not work, do the rest of the accessories work or not?

So I mentioned the keys getting stuck and starter stays engaged. Same with blower. I have to click the key back a little because there's no electricity going to blower cause it thinks the starters turning. Actuator rod?

...or ig. sw. It's pretty easy to pull the plastic column shrouds off & watch the rod as you turn the key. If the rod doesn't mimic the key motion, buy actuators. If it does, buy a switch.
