Removable Top: fix, paint, new, used, what fits what's best?
My 83, the top still has paint but it's fading and has a chip here and there in what I'm guessing is fiberglass..
Question is what to do with it can these be repaired? Can new tops be purchased like jeep tops? Do all years fit the same? |

you seem to have so many questions going on at once I don't even know where to begin with links to threads on these subjects.
There are some soft tops available and some that are extremely hard to locate. Threads ad nauseum on these subjects, just search soft top. Anything fiberglass is repairable, usually with just some epoxy compound. For more serious wounds you will need some fiberglass mesh to reinforce it. For me I prefer to scuff up the tops and apply products like Rhino or Monstaliner. Your preference.

Yea I'm trying to gain as much info a I can, fast as I can so maybe I could point someone in the right direction when the chance comes along.
If I put all my questions out there now I should have more comments an suggestions to help me make decisions fixes and upgrades with fewer mistakes |

From my perspective it is better to keep your posts to as few issues at a time as possible. If you have too many things going on at once in your thread it will get confusing and you can get lost in data.
Trust me there are guys on here who know so much about Bronco's they will make your head spin with information to questions you ask. IMO better to keep things simple and then you know what data goes with what question. You don't need to start a new thread for every question you have but you can limit your questions until you feel like you have received enough information to act before posing the next set of problems.

I used 4 cans of Krylon Fusion semi-gloss black on my top. I wish I had bought 5 cans.
It's held up great. Just clean it well before hand, and wipe it down with a degreaser. |

Thanks against Steve, I was wondering if you or anyone else knew where to find a tonneau cover for the 80-86 bronco?
And not like a fast back but just flat bed then straight up to close off the cab. I have a photo from a closed site, I have read a thread or two but can't find exactly what I'm looking for.. It's the 334-055 part number on this link it shows on a black bronco.http://http://thejeep.com/stc/bronco.html Is it possible to find these anywhere at all? |

My bad the link didn't work or it isn't for me, it's on the old stc site.
I know soft-tops.com etc still can't find this sort of top. I keep getting the idea if I want something I'm gonna have to build it my self from scratch notion. Only reason I'd want this top is cause I live in the city now I have a place in the country to store the top but not in my apartment anytime I wanna go topless... And the fastrac/ fastback top isn't my style at all. |

They make them, last i heard, "Hefty" makes soft tops, idk if he makes that style. tonneau style tops usually run minimum of $300 and go up from there.
