Adding a 3rd (hi mount) brake light for <92 broncos
Have any of you installed a 3rd brake light either on the tire carrier (like a wrangler) or mounted one on the cap the way the 92+ have them? I saw Fireguy's pictures. Any idea of how the wiring was routed through the cap?
If anyone has a link for further info, it would be appreciated. Thanks |

Get a later model cap would be easiest. But personally id do a tire carrier mounted or something like that because if you remove the top you stay legal.

Just saw you have a 91 so you might want to go with one of those strip LED lights that connect to your tail lights. The right side will blink with the right blinker and so will the left side blink with the left blinker but the whole thing lights up when braking. I am sure you have seen one on a truck somewhere.

I was considering one of the strip lights that go under the tailgate. I was thinking that I would like it more eye level.
I'll take a look at the links you posted. Thanks for the responses |

You could put those strips anywhere you want. They just mount. You could mount it at the top of your cap with some drilling I am sure.

Ill trade ya caps! I dont like the high stop and dont want one. Doubt my inspection station would say anything about it if theres no place for one.
