C6 transmission

I just bought an 86 bronco with a 3 speed c6 tranny. Not familiar with this tranny. At what rpm/mph should it shift from 1-2, and 2-3?.... 3.55 gears with 31" tires. I did a search on the c6 and came up with nothing. Any insight would be helpful, not sure if this normal or if I have a problem.

Tell us what speeds/rpms the gears are changing.....

Around 30 mph +/- from 1st to 2nd, 55 to 60 mph +/- from 2nd to 3rd. Very subtle shifts. Shifts around 3000-3500 rpm. Drops down to around 2000 rpm after shifts. I've googled shift ranges for this but unable to find anything. Thanks.

Seems to shift a little high.

My C6 with 351W shifts (If not pushing it) around 20 - 30 and around 45 into 3rd. (4.10 gears on 35s)

Be prepared for bad fuel mileage your looking at 10 - 11 MPG.

Have you tried adjusting the vacuum regulator?
